Founded by Albert Pfäffle in 1948, the company initially sold both winemaking and vineyard equipment. However, by the early 1960s, the focus shifted exclusively to enology products. Albert's interest in enjoying fine wine led him to explore ways to enhance the wine potential in his region, and after a tour through France, he identified the opportunity to improve the quality of oak aging in the winemaking process.
Albert collaborated with stave mills and cooperages to bring high-quality oak aging to the region, forming lasting partnerships that continue to be maintained. As a family-owned and operated business, Albert's legacy is now being carried on by Albert's grandchildren. They are dedicated to maintaining the passion for improving wine quality and bringing out its fullest potential.
In 2020, we expanded our oak barrel offerings in the United States, demonstrating a commitment to benefiting regional crafted wines and helping them reach their full potential. Our unwavering passion for the craft is evident in the dedication to providing quality enology products and contributing to the enhancement of regional wines.
